DUBLIN CASTLE - A MEMORABLE CONFERENCE SETTING

Dublin Castle, situated in the heart of Dublin City, is a conference venue steeped in the history: The original structure of the Castle was built in the early 13th century but even prior to that the area was an important Viking site. Dublin gets its name from the "Black Pool" or "Dubh Linn", Irish for the "black pool", which is now the site of the Castle Garden. Through the ages the Castle has undergone many changes, additions and restoration and has evolved into the magnificient Georgian quadrangle of buildings to be seen today.

The latest addition is the modern Conference Centre which was designed and equipped for Ireland's Presidencies of the European Community. The facilities, decor and furnishings have been completed to the highest standards in keeping with the expectations of a modern conference centre.
